The Frodis Co Wins Big Ideas Business Plan Contest Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern Pennsylvania have announced the winner of their annual $35,000 BIG IDEA Business Plan Contest. The competition, which was held May 31, 2010 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center located in State College, allowed seven finalists to make a business plan presentation to a panel of judges. The winner of the $35,000 prize, The Frodis Co, LLC developed iDropper™, a software program designed to simplify digital file transfer across the Internet. Dave Scribner and Matt Mashyna, co-founders of the company, commented "Our software is specifically for businesses that need to eliminate the technical hurdles typically associated with the transfer of a large number of digital files. Our software makes the process as easy as drag and drop." The primary target for the iDropper™ program is the commercial printing prepress industry. Currently for a printer to receive digital files they must either risk overloading their server trying to receive them as e-mail, wait for a CD-ROM to arrive in the mail, or teach their customers how to access their server. The IDropper™ solution shortens the production cycle, removes the security risk of allowing access to your server, and saves time and money for both the printer and the customer. |
